Facelift

A conventional facelift involves altering the skin that covers your face and neck. Mid Facelift

A mid face lift is a surgical alteration of the cheek area. Fat and muscle tissues of the cheek are removed or tightened in an upward direction to produce a firmer, tighter, and younger appearance. Deep furrows between the nose and upper lip are particularly responsive to this treatment. Although full recovery can take up to three months, most patients who undergo a mid face lift at our Reno-area facility can return to work within a few weeks of their procedure.

Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) performed by Dr. McCormack

Ears that are too large or protrude from the head may be adjusted to a more pleasing appearance with ear surgery. This surgery is commonly performed on children or young adults whose self-esteem or social development is threatened by teasing or embarrassment. An incision in the back of the ear allows the surgeon to remove or fold the cartilage so the ear lies closer to the head. The incision is stitched closed and bandages are applied to promote proper healing in the corrected position. After about a week, the bandages are removed, and the patient can return to school and most normal activities.

Chin Implants

If you suffer from a "weak chin" or want the size or shape of your chin to be more proportional to your other facial features, a chin implant can dramatically improve your appearance. This surgical procedure adjusts the existing chin structure and permanently attaches a custom-crafted implant made of silicone or other biocompatible material. Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a skin resurfacing technique that corrects blemishes, scarring, wrinkles, and uneven pigmentation for a softer, smoother, and younger appearance. Stronger concentrations can also remove precancerous growths. Dr. Tiffany McCormack of McCormack Plastic Surgery will work with you to understand your goals and select the chemical concentration that best meets your needs. Treatment takes only a few minutes and typically does not require any time away from normal activities, although stronger concentrations may result in swelling or crusting. Minor stinging, redness, and flaking subside as your skin adjusts to the treatment over a few days and new, healthy, glowing skin appears. Depending on the concentration, repeated courses may be necessary to maintain results. Daily use of sunscreen is strongly recommended after a chemical peel.
